The challenge
ECOWAS's annual compliance reporting spanned 8 independent institutions (ECOWAS Commission, Parliament, CCJ, WAHO, GIABA, and others), each producing data in inconsistent formats. The result: reports that were hard to compare across institutions and even harder for leadership to scan for what mattered.

The solution
I introduced a standardized information architecture across all 8 program teams. It included thematic clustering to group related data, executive scannability standards (visual hierarchy built for a 30-second skim, not a full read), and consistent visual data signposting so the same metric type looked the same everywhere in the report.

The outcome
The framework became the institutional standard for ECOWAS's regional reporting. It was adopted for two consecutive annual reports across all 8 institutions. By standardizing how data was structured and displayed, leadership could compare performance across institutions at a glance instead of parsing eight differently-formatted reports.

Led user research and platform design end-to-end

The challenge
National HIV prevention training relied on synchronous, in-person workshops — costly to run and hard to scale consistently across Nigeria's states. User research surfaced a core barrier: practitioners' time constraints made repeated in-person sessions genuinely difficult to sustain, not just inconvenient.

The solution
Based on that research, I digitized the training into a modular, self-paced Moodle LMS platform — restructuring synchronous workshop content (like the data visualization curriculum) into interactive, sequenced modules practitioners could complete on their own schedule.

The outcome
The platform scaled national access while eliminating the dependency on physical workshops across multiple states, and was adopted as a core training resource for HIV prevention programs. Practitioners could build data visualization competency without the time cost of in-person sessions being the bottleneck.

Architected the full data pipeline — collection, logic, and visualization layers

The challenge
National HIV prevention planning had no reliable, up-to-date view of service coverage across Nigeria — spanning all 36 states plus FCT and 774+ local government areas. Without it, health teams were prioritizing interventions and allocating resources without a clear picture of where gaps actually existed.

The solution
I architected a multi-tier data collection and analytics system: a GIS mapping and dashboard layer built on top of conditional form logic, client-side validation rules, and asynchronous save states — designed specifically to eliminate the data entry fatigue that had undermined coverage data in the past.

The outcome
The system achieved 100% national adoption across all 36 states and FCT, giving health teams a live view to identify service gaps and compare regional coverage. Planning and resource allocation decisions that were previously made blind now had a national, comparable data layer behind them.
